Laker FFA received a boost to their barn construction project as Agri-Valley Communications Inc. (AVCI), of Pigeon, teamed up with CoBank, a cooperative bank serving vital industries throughout rural America, to make a donation in excess of $10,000 for the project. Construction progress was recently viewed by project partners.

New Playground Equipment at Alba School
Students at Alba Public Schools had an exciting day Friday, May 5, when two new pieces of playground equipment were delivered. Becky Beagle, a bus driver for the school district, said Pigeon Telephone Company, located in Alba, donated more than $6,500 for the purchase of a new wooden ship.
Agri-Valley Communications Appoints Three Board Members
Agri-Valley Communications Inc., parent company of Pigeon Telephone, Thumb Cellular and Agri-Valley Services, has appointed three new members to its Board of Directors: Liesl Eichler Clark, Hans Eichler and Ray Leppien. Liesl and Hans are the third generation of the Eichler family to lead Agri-Valley Communications. Their late grandfather, John E. Eichler, purchased the original company, Pigeon Telephone, in 1972 and partnered with James J. Christner in 1991, who serves on the board.
